Moments Hospitality Collective runs five BC venues: Water Street Cafe and 2nd Floor Gastown in Vancouver, and Qualicum Beach Cafe, Nanoose Bay Cafe and Greenview Taphouse on Vancouver Island. Their idea: “Locally grown hospitality.”
The challenge
Each venue runs its own busy events program (live music, seasonal dinners, festivals), managed in Tockify. Copying those events into five separate websites by hand meant a lot of duplicated work and calendars that fell out of date.
What I built
- A custom Node.js integration that syncs five Tockify calendars into five matching Webflow CMS sites, with rules that merge events across certain groups of calendars so shared programming shows up where it belongs.
- The group site: About, Locations, Private Events (with capacities for each venue), What’s Happening, Careers, Media and Gift Cards.
- Individual venue sites that share one system, including Qualicum Beach Cafe, Nanoose Bay Cafe and Greenview Taphouse.
Outcome
Manual website updates for events went away completely. Staff update the calendar once, and every site that should show the event does.
